3 Christmas Garlands a la Susan Branch

I found this garland idea at Susan Branch's blog and just had to make one for our mantel.

For the "Merry Christmas" banner, I used red cardstock, cut into rectangles, along with white sticker letters from Michael's. I fed baker's twine through the punched holes, added 3 ornaments to the center - so easy!

Then I used red fluffy garland strung with various Christmas balls. And lastly a string of red beads completed my three garlands.

I'm really excited about the look. My fireplace decorations are now complete, just in time for ~

Do you think I could keep my decorations up through January without seeming a little eccentric?!

  2. Cute banners, Mary! How fun to have a fireplace! I've had 3 in my married life and it was so fun to decorate the mantels.

I keep most of my Christmas decor up through Jan- taking it down gradually so the hosue doesn't get that empty "it's all over" look! This year? I don't even know where I'm going to put my green tree! ♥
